Does Anyone Have Any Advice On Removing Rose Bubble Tip Anemones

Im just starting a new 15 gallon column nano and I have a rock full of RBTA. It was fine in my 65 gallon but that is torn down now. The several moves from tank to tank made my anemones split a lot. I need advice on how to remove them for trade. Ive read ice cubes on the foot will move them but wont make them detach. Ive also read you can pry them off with a tooth pick but I tried for 10 minutes and it didn't budge. help....

I really don't want to do that (I may have to) the rock is my seed rock from my last tank covered in coralline and I wouldn't mind keeping one anemone, but Im going to go to the store and buy a dry rock of similar size just in case.

i once held the anemone infront of the power head and it came flying off into my other hand in 2-3 minutes....

break the rock apart around the anemones. I find this the easiest way to prevent too much stress on them from prying and picking at their feet.

Remove the rock, place it in a bucket, get a good chisel and a hammer. break the rock up into pieces with the anemones on various pieces. Or chisel around them and break off the pieces they are stuck too and return the rest of the rock to the tank if it is large.

i kept rubbing my finger around the edge of his foot he slowly let go but if you sytop one area too long it will reattach..... place a culdren over him that should block enough light and flow and he will move trying to escape.... at least thats how 100gallon got my new one out of his tank
