In your guys opinion what the maximum jump you can do when switching tanks.. for example could i go from a  75 to a 150 safely??just looking into options of going bigger or having to completely cycle the tank and have two running, which wouldnt be ideal, hydro wise. Thanks in advance

i would think you could do that,, you would need to be very efficient, lots of buckets, new gravel, keep rock as wet as possible dont clean the pumps, skimmer or other items that may host organic filtration, keep submerged... should be fine... have extra water for an emergency water change if any probs after...

No losses or outta control spikes pulp? And substrate wont be necessary dale since im doing barebottom, bit ive done a tabk switch recently so i have the method down pat(especially after moving this tank a total of 4 times now lmao(moving and tank switch) just wanna make sure it could be done safely  cuz i now have a few higher end sps and lots of desiner zoas id prefer not to kill off lol.

I lost one torch and that was because it was buried
I used none of the old tank water. I cleaned everything skimmer, pumps , reactor and sump only thing I didn't mess with were my bio pellets reactor had everything up and running 24 hours I didn't notice any kind of a spike or cycle. But then again I use what salty calls  magic potion

I think it works like magic.
Last summer I cleaned the entire 75 gallon tank to rid the tank of bubble algae .bleached the rocks, bleached the tank and bleached my sump as well as all of my hardware was back up and running fish and corals within 48 hours
that was last July
Its all on here somewhere on the forum

DR Tims nutrifying Bacteria?, I've used it before and if I had done what Pulp did, I'd use it for sure. Old water isn't necessary when changing tanks but if it were me and had the room, I'd keep both tanks running during the switch over.

IMO if it gonna do it go big. Why mess with it again later. Spend all that time and effort maintains a big tank instead. I always use the instant ocean bacteria and has never caused any problems for me. Totally makes the cycle nil

Look into Dr Tims Nutrifying Bacteria, they sell it at Aquarium by design in Waterloo, I know you don't drive but they could probably mail you some.Keep both tanks running til your finished switching over and it'll be a breeze.

Why would going to a bigger tank be any different then a water change to the livestock and the bio load... If you took everything from your existing tank and transferred into the big tanks along with the extra amount of water already up to temp and salinity. Boom your good to go. Now to real problem lies when you want to put the tank in the same place that it currently sits like I will be doing in a few years.  Pull the 90 down, move it to basement, build 300 in it's place. That will be a lot of work for me.
