Ecotech Glue Killing Sps

Has anyone using Ecotechs coral glue ever experienced some peeling from the base up on SPS frags? I've never had this happen with any other glue but since switching to ecotech glue i've had it happen multiple times, enough to say WTF?! colonies of the frags are all doing fine but some just seem to freak out at the glue and then eventually stop receding. Anybody else?

I hadn't noticed actually. Then again, I didn't do many sps with it. No issues with bsi ic-gel glue that I use now. You should check it out.

Maybe you wasn't meant to frag lol haha. Kidding, I used it numerous times with out problem. Could be a bad bottle, if it a large full bottle you could send it my way for testing :D

No man, this hobby is great! I spend countless hours viewing it. Sometimes it late that I have to forced myself go to sleep, walking up stare I will turn down and look at the tank for the last time before hitting the bed. Yes I know I have a problem :D

I use this glue and i have no issues. I have seen this in other glues. The key is do a good sized glob and don't let it touch the tissue outside the glue. I harden with a drop of water to form a membrane on the surface and let it sit for 5 min. If the attachment is strong and the frag doesn't tip over i put back into my tank to cure.

Everyone and expensive glue... Check the msds sheet online and compare to dollarama thick gel crazy glue. They are chemically the same lol. Wouldn't surprise me if all came from the same supplier.

If u do the math the quantity u get in the big eco tech bottle adds up to basically the exact same as cheap dollar store glue. and it's WAY better to work with.

$1.50 glues me about 25 frags lol how much comes in the ecotececo bottle? And how can it be better to work with when chemically it's the same? I wouldn't say causing stn is better to work with.

Lol hence my concern and starting this thread. I mean better to work with cus it hardens FAST better than any super glue I've worked with. and I'd have yo check the volume but us a monster amount for the price. could outlas the shelf life which is two years on the jug tho....

The chemical that makes it harden causes heat to cure it. If it cures faster than others they may use a touch more of that chemical and it can burn. I know building my model my fingertips were a little warm where glue was thick ;) most glues and epoxies these days use exothermic reactions otherwise you deal with the nasty smell of thinners.

Did you e-mail them? if at all they think it's a bad batch they will probably send you some free.
