encouraging fish to stop hiding?

Any tips or tricks on getting shy fish to be slightly more active in the tank? I have a small group of anthias, and only one ever swims out in the open. The other three huddle together behind the rocks in a small opening, and only come out to feed.

I've had a yellow tang for over 2 years, he's still so shy. When I come to feed the tank he takes off instantly and hides. Not sure what you could do to fix that issue, I hope you get them out and about tho. Good luck

they will come out over time, feed them with the pumps off out in the open and with time they will associate people at the tank with food and always be out when your there watching, I know fish aren't that smart but man do ALL of mine love the sight of me with the NLS container.. I swear they can see 10ft away as im approaching with it.

Mine are the same way, the ones I have had the longest seem to know when it is food time and I never feed at the same time every day. lol

They must be able to see me with food somehow. The new additions will come out once they sense food hitting the water, but I wish I could just see more of them. Especially my Bartletts Anthias, it is a beauty!
