Filter Socks Vs Filter Flose

Just looking into this filter socks thing .... is filter socks sorta like ... filter flose???? or is that totally 2 different things
??

filter socks perform the same function as filter floss Bigreefer bud. just waayyyy better, which is why they clog so much faster.
floss will catch the larger particulate, but allow the finer microbial through were as a filter sock pretty much catches it all. hence the constant clogging.

I have used both when needed.. the only thing is you can clean and reuse the socks and you have to toss the floss..

I have used both when needed.. the only thing is you can clean and reuse the socks and you have to toss the floss..When and after I have done anything to the tank I use the heavy socks and for daily use I use the mesh ones.. they go on the full siphon and trickle or at least that where I put mine. before your skimmer. if there is a lot of crud in the tank the heavy ones will clog fast..I also wash mine, I turn them inside out and scrub them with a brush until clean and then I dry them outside in the sun..get in touch with Jerry, he sells them or check out reef supply or petsnponds...they can be a bit pricey..
