Going back to the chlorine question.... what about peroxide? It's an oxidizer, and a disinfectant ( at least in water treatment). Not sure on the effects on fabric though. Any thoughts?

Yes I do.

Doesn't seem to be loading so I'm having someone look into it.

I can see about the eshopp filters, but no I don't stock them.

Back working now. Theme was causing issues. Some things might not "fit" properly as I just put it back to default for now.

What is better the mesh or felt. Other than the micron count, what are the positives / negatives to each?

I get three days out of mine and I soak them inside out in a vinegar water solution over night. After a quick rinse backwards and forwards it runs clean. I notice lots of debris and discolouring of the water at the start but after a few minutes it's clear.
I only have four socks and use one at a time. One soaks, one is drying and one in the sump. I keep a spare out to put into the rotation when needed.

Felt filters better, but fills up a bit quicker after every use depending how well they are being rinsed.

Mesh are super easy to clean but allow for the smaller particles to pass through.

I have both and I like them both but, depending what you are trying to do will decide which is best.. for removing algae I could only get a few hours out of the felt but, nothing goes back in the tank...

I know some that put a mesh inside the felt to keep all the large things out of felt. This way too any live mysis or large Copepods can be dumped back into tank
