I've had a 2 inch frag now for 6 months... lots of colour and crazy amount of ployp extension but it's not growing...I have it closer to the top of the tank...anyone have expierence getting grown outta this guy?

Alk is holding steady at 9.5. All levels are consistent. And all my sps are growing well except this one... crazy Pe just no growth

It's encrusted a bit but not much of that either. ..i got it from @Salty Cracker

Ok. I just know when I got into SPS that I didn't have any die but I also had no real growth either.
Eric helped me big time figure out that it was my Alk. Once I straightened that out they took off growing.

Oh also I had high Mag.
If all your other SPS is doing great and growing and you still have excellent PE, you must be doing something right.
I would just be patient and keep an eye on it for now bud.

It encrusted for a while for me, then absolutely exploded, like "too much growth" exploded. I still have a good colony of it, can always frag some more, it's definitely going into the new tank too, when it's happy PE is insane on that stuff.

That's the piece when it's really happy. Spreads a lot first though, it's not one of those "nice small colony" types of corals, it sort of grows in every which way. Like I said it was from Rick originally, so not sure of it's lineage, but it's still one of my favourite pieces, it just has to be trimmed and corralled.

Everything is on hold until they get moved to the new tank, I have to figure out what I am cutting and moving over.

Yep, fairly high, and it got hit with most of the "fresh water bath" when the tank flooded. It's coming back nicely, while the red/pink millie is definitely not super thrilled still. Do watch out, it does encrust A LOT.
