personally I try to varry the diet as much as I can..however I dont..lol well not as much as id like. I feed brine shrimp, mysis, flake food with garlic, cyclops. You can get away with feeding one thing, but i think its healthier for the fish to have a varied diet.

I might like pizza....but not for every meal, everyday.

pellets are good in case you have to go on vacation. you can put them in an auto feeder.

all my fish eat New life spectrum pellets for small fish. the cleaner and blood shrimp like it too.

How do you get the pellets to sink?  I find that if I don't soak them first they just float around and get sucked into the overflows.

Just curious.

yeah my pellets do the same... i just turn off the pumps.

once i get my reefkeeper up i will have it turn off the pumps and and return just before the autofeeder dumps then restart it all after 30 minutes. Pellets only sink if i soak them and squirt them into the tank with a turkey baster.

I think almost all food can contribute to nitrates, and most contribute to phosphates.  I rinse frozen food in RO/DI water before feeding it, but how do you rinse flakes.  ;D
