So was working in the DT tonight and found this guy laying in the bottom. I think there are two together and I think they could be some kind of nem but not sure. If so that's great that means my tank can support one finally.

Looks like maybe aptasia? Pesky anemone but one none the less. I feel keeping nems is over rated. I've found them easier to sustain then even euphyllia coral.

It's on a very small piece of rock and easily removable. But it kinda looks like a poly or a zoa in shape, looks to have a mouth in the centre, red in colour with longer tentacles around the edges that appear to be white tipped. Hard to see really as when I move it it kinda closes up

It's definately a Majano if it has white tips and coloured tentacles. Try not to disturb it anymore and banish it from your tank :)

Google Majano anenome and let us know.

Yes that's what it looks like. Thanks. Now I know and have the depiction of what to do with it? Be a purest reefer or a naturalist let it go wild?

it does look like strawberry anemones which is quite rare! These anemones are a cold water species and are seldom ever seen in the aquarium hobby. They almost certainly need a chiller to survive, hate strong flow and need very little light. They can grow into an amazingly colorful display but caution must be given as they can spread rapidly under the right conditions and they will sting everything in its path!
Very cool find though given their requirements and rarity and in a species specific tank they could make a very cool display but I would keep a close eye on them in your DT.

Strawberry anemone kills coral and anemones and is kept in colder water. I have seen what these and other likewise anemone's can do to fish in a tank. Fish missing eyes and fins shredded from damage/stings. I would recommend getting rid of it before it spreads and becomes a nuisance.
