Hey
I setup my fuge on the new tank a few weeks ago. Live rock, cheato, and 10 mangroves. Everything is growing like crazy and my nitrates are non existent. In the past few days I have noticed alot of red algae growing on everything in my fuge as well. I was thinking of possibly cutting back my fuge lighting. I'm currently running my fuge lights 24/7. Whats everyone else running ?

It's cyano? Or corraline.

With chaeto you just run the fudge light opposite the tank lights. The cal urea you need lights on always so it doesn't go sexual

How big is the tank? That's a lot of mangroves. You farming them? Lol

quick question, this isn't the first time I have read that you should run lights oppo to your dt. I am not doing this currently, but can easily, what is the reason for doing this?

if your getting cyano in your fuge give the chato and caulerpa a shake you prob have to little flow and its accumulating detritus in the clump and holy mangroves i have 8 in my 125 and once they start growing a bit more a few are going in my seahorse tank.... those things grow into massive bushes if allowed
