Hi all! Is there anyone here who still does DIY leds? I am wondering where the go to supplier is these days? There are a few in the states still but not much here ex̌ept digikey and mouser....

Ive used rapidled for mine out of the states in the past

I used them for my first build back in the day when they were aquarium focused. There onyx fixtures were cool. I see they still sell leds at least so they are an option. I also came across ledgroupbuy which seems to have good prices.

Kinda got me reminiscing as well. Really fighting the urge to start a new tank when I cant afford it. Plus the ceiling is finally almost done in my living room. The mud and dust would reek havoc.

Yeah rapidled was the best back then, I thought about buying fixtures but there is something to be said about building your own and being able to fix it if anything happens.

I have managed to stay tank free for 8 years. Myy last one was taken down when I moved. I unfortunately me someone with a tank and we got talking and here I am back at it. I am only doing a 50gallon tank so nothing too crazy.
