Gyre Xf130

Does anybody have a gyre fx130 in london or sarnia? Mine stopped working cant figure out why. Hoping to plug into a working one and try to see if it's the controller or motor. Flashes red no matter what I try.

Did you check the motor block is freely moving or if it has seized?

The other thing to try is order the cables are connected. Try plugging in the power supply to the controller, then the controller to the pump, then the power supply to the electrical outlet.

I found that a lot of gunk gets build in the motor block and needs a good cleaning regularly.

I pulled motor block apart. Cleaned it nothing. Spins free when off. Soon as its plugged in motor is warm to touch and extremely hard to spin by hand. Have tried plugging in diffrent ways no luck. Wondering if controllers messed up. It thinks motors dry or blocked maybe

Inside of my motor block seems good. No signs of wear in anything. Thinking it maybe moisture in controller. Maybe to close to tank and evaporation is causing problems.

If it’s moisture in the controller, put it in a bag of rice... just like drying a cellphone.

I tried that over night. May not have been long enough I will put it back and leave it longer

I read an article recently saying vinegar baths can cause magnets to swell depending on the quality of the plastic. Not sure if you soaked it or not and whether its relevant. I have a pump thats lock rotoring also right now and i gave it a nice long vinegar bath.

That's interesting. I think i soaked it for short period. It seems to be a problem with controller imo. Even with the pump not plugged into controller it flashes red. Could be the magnet tho. It spins freely without being plugged in. As soon as it gets power from controller its locked up
