i just tossed another marineland heater in the garb
i had 3 150w and 1 50w, one failed to turn off in my storage tank and melted
one failed on in my sump but couldn't boil the water on its own
the 50w was in the qt, was set at 75, the tank was 86 and the heater was roasting, luckily we caught it just in time before we boiled some frags
i will be replacing the last one soon, very soon
the heaters were all the stealth type, no indicator light, what's with that!
i now have fluval and elite heaters, i like the fluval best
i am very disappointed with marineland, to be selling such garb!, the new model explodes, isn't that great.
i recommend to anybody using marineland heaters to get rid of that crap!!!!!
i now run reef keeper in both my systems, temp control is excellent, no more worries about heaters sticking on, but that doesn't stop them from pooping out, don't neglect to check your heaters
