Tickets are sold out at ticket master. Ticket stub wants a fortune for their seats, and so does every asshole on kijij. Such a load how people ask 100x more then the actual amount the ticket was a originally.

It's sad but people pay it.... If there's high demand for something the price goes up...
Isn't that supply and demand 101?

Takes the fun out of the sport, I can't go watch a game because I don't make a six figure income to afford it, bullshit

Detroit tickets vs pens are 60$ a piece, how can they justify selling a Toronto ticket for $250 and up. Half those ticket will be scalped for peanuts compared to what they want now. I just don't want to drive to TO and ticket scalpers still want a fortune or there is none.

Yep, scalpers don't give them away until about 10 mins after the puck drops.  Even then, they sell a LOT of tickets.  One thing I will say about leaf games, there aren't many empty seats (except after a period starts and the entire lower bowl is down below in the VIP getting lap dances or whatever they get).

Get me a down south game where they give you seats, a meal, a couple of beers and a free BJ in VIP for $7.  Move all the southern teams north so we can get a decent price on tickets.  The St. Thomas Lightning?  Yep, it'll sell out every game.

I have 3 options.

1. Pensguins vs Detroit in the D
2. penguins home game ( still half the price of the cheapest leafs ticket )
3. Drive to Columbus and watch a game ( they almost give their tickets away for free )

I love hockey and hate baseball, but I think Jays games are 100x more fun than leafs games. You guys hit the nail on the head about the business people, the arena is full of them. Glen is right about the empty seats, the entire lower bowl is empty for the first 10 mins of a game as everyone is still out for dinner.

I recommend going to the D. Cheaper tickets mean real fans can afford to go, means the game is a lot more fun.

In a good note San Jose is 6-0-0!!!! With a +21

It all means squat until they make it to the Cup Finals. Sharks have been a great regular season team for years now.... But, they are constantly no shows in the playoffs. It would be nice to see that change. Niemi is one of the best goalies out there and he will carry San Jose. To this day I am still baffled as to why Chicago walked away from him, only to give a mammoth deal to Crawford who is nothing spectacular... Especially now that the NHL has cracked down on those oversized pads.

One place I never want to vist, but would love to catch a game....Calgary.  Now that's a pile of hockey fans.  Dedicated and polite(ish).

This year it's a total toss up on which team has worse fans....philly ot montREAL.  The montreal fans have really started to pick up the pace with the noise and booing and the bullshit, making games rather unplesant except when they're losing (dead silence).  Philly for years had the most vocal and obnoxious fans.  I'm not really sure what's happening in montreal but it's unfortunate.  I mean I dislike the habs, but at least I could watch home games if there was nothing else on.  Now it would likely be a philly game I would muscle through, at least they have good colours on their uniforms (are the canadiens american??)

We have always lacked depth. I know it sounds like an excuse but for the first time in forever, I really see a difference in the sharks as an entire team. Not just one great first line. This year will truly be a make or break year for the sharks considering Jumbo Joe and Marleau both are UFA at the end of the year and with zero results will be zero contracts from the Sharks to re-up for two aging stars. (esp. Marleau)

Makes me sick

Surprisingly, pittttsberg isn't one of the most expensive.  Probably because of their performance against Boston?  ;)
[/quote]

I actually have a friend who's has been a pens fan his whole life. He's been to many of there home games and he said their dirt cheap compared to other places. So I may just end up making a trip to Pittsburgh for a weekend.
