Put that in the history books Brando it won't ever happen again. Besides you guy were out shot and out played for 2 periods of that game. Just a luck game.
I think I remember texting with you last year when the same thing happened.
Ya but not that bad of a loss
I didn't watch the game as I was at a wedding but 4-1 isn't that bad of a loss sometimes.  I think being up 3-1 and then losing 4-3 is much worse. I also think Reimer must've stood on his head as they had 38 shots against or something like that.  A different night and it would have been a different story.
Well ya... Um that's kinda how it works?
So leafs win and it's luck and they lose and their just the norm.... Unbiased hockey opinions here eh? Haha
What do u mean ? They were out played by the Pens up until the 3rd period,  no doubt about it Toronto owned that 3rd period hands down. If it wasn't for reimer then it would have been a different story. Shot count speak volumes in games. 4 shots of fluery in the 2nd period , that's not good hockey for the Leafs, one goal was empty netter, another was a power play and bolands break away goal, cause fluerys a donkey and was out 15ft from the net.

We lost, we were outplayed in the 3rd which is where most of the Leafs goals came and that's it, Reimer won that game for the leafs.
Ya but hockey is always and up and down sport , if it wasn't what's the point of playing each other, anyone can win a game , but to say it will NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN, and IT WAS JUST LUCK, is a bit much. Shit happens, I'm just fighting for the leafs, :D
Someone on here has too
It was just luck, don't get used to that this season Brando
Meh, we will see, we face you twice more this season , we'll revisit this topic then :)
Sounds good man lol glad didn't waste my money on tickets for that

Go leafs... Totally pwned the penguins due to pure skill and the can't die attitude.  The leafs just sand bag at the beginning to make hte other teams complacent. Everyone knows that they have the team to win the cup... but what fun is it if you win every game.

Actually. It was a 3 - 1 lead after the first period for Boston.

AND it was to a team that only had ONE win going into the night. The odds were -220 for Boston. Damn, that must have stung.

Bahahahaha. We did you Eastern conference guys a favor and kept Montreal at bay though. Your welcome.

There was 4 power play goals against last night.  It was a bit of an upset, but just stressed they need to watch the bad penalties and work on the penalty kill.  Not one even handed goal.  Oh and Chara was tossing Jagr around like a rag doll until they stopped playing in the second period for some reason.  I wasn't happy but it wasn't too frustrating since it wasn't 4 full strength goals against a lower tier team.  Plus as I said before, they tend to do poorly against teams they don't think will make the playoffs (ie they may lose to the leafs in regular season).

That is a very nice setup for the ultimate cop out....

No cop out.  When we get a good team, we spank them, when we get a lame team, we go to sleep.  Your team was spanked, it would have been a proper snub if we had just let you beat us.

I forgot my san jósie  stickers when I went to the range today.  Next time.  Next time.

But remember last year started the exact same way with the exact two teams leading each conference and tampa missed the playoffs and San Jose barely squeaked in....

Rask for Raycroft....

Amazing trade, where is that guy now? Isn't he playing in Europe somewhere now?

http://www.torontosun.com/2013/06/08/simmons-imagine-if-the-bruins-got-pogge-instead-of-rask

TORONTO - The trade that sent Tuukka Rask to the Boston Bruins could have been made without the emerging superstar involved.

According to those close to the deal, the Bruins would have happily accepted young goaltender Justin Pogge in exchange for Andrew Raycroft.

The problem at the time was, Leafs general manager John Ferguson was uneasy about moving Pogge, wasn’t convinced Rask was better and wouldn’t agree to move Pogge because he had won the gold medal playing for Team Canada at the world junior championships that year.

Ferguson told his senior staff that “we’d get killed for trading the gold medal goalie,” so he agreed to make the deal with Boston, which was questionable at the time and looks horrendous in retrospect.

Rask has emerged as one of the top goalies of this generation while Pogge, who played this season in Italy, managed just seven NHL games.

The worst part of the Raycroft deal wasn’t how he played for the Leafs. The worst part was finding out later the Bruins would have released him had they not traded him, making him available to the Leafs without any compensation at all.

Rask, by the way, is the best first-round pick the Leafs have made since Vincent Damphousse 27 years ago.

See!  I didn't mention that!

You forgot. What a steal this ended up being for Boston. If that info is accurate and Boston was giving up on Raycroft anyways, they scored a top tier goalie for free pretty much.
