i mssed the excuses for the game earlier this week when they had that 3 goal lead going into the third, then lost without registering a shot on goal

You forget to mention that they had been up 4-1.
Was 5-4 going into the third....

ACtually no, played battlefield 4 instead.  DID just see the leafs lose (again) to the last team in the league.  They blamed the whole thing on a \"bad\" ref call.  So typical.  Not the shitty way they played the second period, it's all the no call on the breakaway.

Gosh they suck so bad.

You're relentless eh Glen? I enjoy knocking the leafs as much as the next guy but damn. You really, actually do have a deep burning hatred for maple leafs that trancends normal levels.

It's like you were married to the leafs and screwed big time in the divorce.....

Not really, but what team are we bombarded with, night after night, in almost every news outlet (and 10000x more now that sportsnet owns the effing leafs)?  LEafs this, kessel that, leafs big push, leafs leafs leafs.  Yes they bent me over and leafed me hard in the rectum for 41 years.  Okay I can try to get over it.  Sure two of the worst predatory companies on the planet (Bell and Rogers) now own them, and that in itself is reason to hate them, but MAN, watching them play like steaming piles of leafs, and then have the sportsnet guys go on about all the good plays they made.... foooooook.

If they're going to shove that crap team down my throat just because they have a near monopoly on the nhl around here (CBC does it too, until they lose their right to air the leafs, and then watch what they say about them), then I'm going to leaf on their doorstep.

Last night was a lot of fun, had 2 or 3 leaf fans over, but it's not as much fun picking on them now, it's getting kind of like I'm picking on the short bus kids.

If that isn't a slaughter, and I seriously mean this, then the sharks are NOT set for the playoffs.

Statistically, and based upon the leafs last outings (and excuses about injuries), that game should literally be a 10-0 game.

The only way the leafs will win is if Reimer plays the best game he has ever played.

I figured they would start Bernier, no?

18-3-5  to  14-10-3.  Factor into that mix that the leafs had most of their wins before the other teams got their legs under them.  If I was a gambling man I'd put some money on proline, but the odds must be way in favour of SJ tonight.

[/quote]I'm pretty sure I read that reimer was starting. It seems that during this losing streak they are bouncing back and forth between goalies till they can get a win and then they will stick with that goalie till he loses and so on.  The leafs are 9-4 at home or something like that.  I imagine the over/under is at about 7 and san jose are heavy favorites.  It would be a smarter idea to put a few bucks down on the leafs just to get the bigger pay day.

There would never be an NHL game with the over under set at 7 (well, 6.5 and sure as hell never 7.5)

Vegas would come to a grinding halt as every single dollar would pour into the under and bookies would took that bet would be buying
one way tickets to Panama to escape the pending doom of the payouts the next morning.

The Sharks are a very reasonable -147 tonight according to my bookie, and combined with -121 of Phoenix it should be a easy win tonight.

As a side bet I gave my boss 1.5 goals to the leafs for 50 bucks straight up on tonights game.
