Read his record, he was credited with rebuilding the canucks, well, maybe, but they didnt do much. He won the cup with anaheim on his second year and was fired shortly after, how much role did he have in that? Then he fucked up the leafs for a bunch of years while keeping his old teammate on as coach (read: ron wilson).

I think he just got lucky, my opinion is unchanged, he is a moron.

He moved goons from Vancouver when he knew he was getting turfed, he set up Anaheim before he even got there, pretty slick.

Leafs hadn't made the playoffs in almost a DECADE, and he comes in, totally changes the lineup and they make the playoffs, I'm not sure who you want to credit with that, maybe Ferguson?  However "leaf nation" calls for firings pretty much weekly, so fire burke, fire wilson, fire carlyle, fire the next guy, there is no end to the sacrificial lambs when it comes to the leafs. 

John Tortilla is up for a disciplinary interview tomorrow, evidently the NHL thinks he was off his rocker, I don't think they made a call to Burke.

That's an actual quote, and it's TRUE.  You yourself wanted to fire everyone two weeks ago.  Suddenly everyone is a PROUD leaf fan.  It's pathetic.  You realize you are 2-4 games ahead of everyone?  You're 13th overall and 3 games up on a lot of other teams?  Do you get that?  You will have to sit and watch other teams overtake you (and you're not far ahead of the other teams fella).

I'd also like to point out, since you obviously don't even watch your own games, that in each and every leaf "win" they fell apart BADLY in the third (did you watch last night?), and only the goalie kept you in.  That won't fly in a playoff series.  They'll figure out your goalie if they can stay in your own end for 19 minutes.  Only a leaf fan wears a bag on his head for 4 or 5 losses in a row and then wears his jersey to work after a few wins.

just want to point out that we are 20-1-2 when winning after the second... soooo... no we dont fall apart in the 3rd, if your losing you turn up the pressure in the 3rd, thats how you play hockey in case your wondering and Patrick Roy? really? so a bone head can quote another bone head and say, thats an actual quote like its supposed to mean something... lol

If my team spent 19 minutes in my own end on 4 consecutive games, I would absolutely say that my team falls apart in the third.  I just said your goalies saved the games.  That 20-1-2 (if that's even right, I've noticed you like to fudge the numbers) is how the games ended up, but not how they were played.  I honestly think you don't watch your own games.  I watch every single game I can, because I love the game.  I suppose you watch just leaf games, and only when they are winning, because that's what a leaf fan does.
