Need to know how to get a leather coral put of the rock it came in.. Looked up videos and info but couldn't find the right stuff. I need to move it because my gsp is growing over its base and half the coral has been white for a week now. He's not comfortable but it wedged in a hole in the rock.. Any ideas please on how to get / cut him out safetly?
Thanks

Cut with a razor blade - don't saw, if you can't do it in one swipe then keep making parallel swipes until you've cut through.

Or, if you don't want to cut you can put a zip tie around the stalk and gradually tighten it each day until it breaks off.

Just cut it out.

But find a buyer first! They can be there when you make the cut. It will heal for them in their tank. Just needs good flow, and the stem to be put into the rock work.

Your tank; the left overs will try to grow again. Either let it. Start a new colony. Or, just keep cutting it out, and any other flesh you see. Might take a few shots, but it will eventually die off. Don't let it have good water flow, and it will die off faster. Just need to clean it up ASAP, or it could pollute the rest of the tank.
