Hydor smart level control

Has anyone else seen the new Hydor smart level control? This looks like an amazing auto top off system. It runs on probes instead of a float valve system. Features max and minimum levels as well as high level alarm.

I haven't seen that one used yet. Probably the most reliable around is the Tunze Osmolator. It uses a sensor as well with a backup float switch as a fail safe. Magnetic connection.

I use the Elos Osmo controller. Uses a heat sensor. Works great and have never had any issues. It keeps my water level the same height at all times. Doesnt have a fail safe like the Tunze though.

I know, he is bought and paid for by his sponsors. Interesting stuff, but you have to take any of his recommendations or features with a grain of salt

Lol, esp his skimmer. He had to have had it comp'd, as there is no way anyone would go with a hydor skimmer as a first choice

Looks like an interesting and simplistic unit... I like the alarm function  . I am still happy with my bubble magus float valve though lol. (no more chords!!!)

I didn't even know hydor made skimmers, lol.  Yeah wouldn't be my first choice either.

Edit: My auto top off also does the dishes and the laundry

I have the tunze and it looks really nice in the box. I haven't opened it yet. Been lazy and accumulating equipment on the couch near my tank again.....
