They attach polyps or zoos or anything they think helps hide them.. Are they considered reef safe?

"It is a hardy, long-lived invertebrate, that can be housed in the reef aquarium. This crab has been known to attack crustaceans such as Banded Coral Shrimp, and may even attack small slow moving fish. All crabs are opportunistic feeders and if insufficient food is present they may pick at mushrooms or polyps searching for food. Breeding Arrow Crabs in the aquarium is not generally successful. Larvae are free-swimming and hatch in about two weeks. It will accept almost all meaty, flake and tablet foods."

Reef safe is a matter of interpretation.  This is a creature that will cut a polyp of this and a piece of sponge and stick it to itself for camouflage.  Now if I had some prize zoanthids at $20 / polyp I wouldn't want this guy in my reef but my stuff is pretty basic and cheap. If this guy wants to cut a polyp of my stuff and wear it I say have at'r

Very nice looking crab, that's for sure.  I wonder how many things it will put on it's body to camouflage itself.  It would be cool if you could post a picture of it in 6 months to show the progression.

It's cool cause it's got a couple wild polyps on it that only open at night and are photosynthetic. Then during the days those polyps close but it's got others that open.  Currently it has 3 different colours of sponge stuck to it.  YVet I'll def post pics as it decorates itself
