well I now am the proud owner of a reef tank infested with ick.

I picked up a bag of snails and 3 fighting conch and didn't quarantine them.

And now my fish are covered. Especially my awesome Achilles. The cleaner shrimp is working him over pretty hard but as we all know, that's no solution.

So this weekend I will be tearing my tank apart, and moving all my fish into a qt tank for the next 60 days in a copper bath. Hopefully that fallows out my dt and gets this thing back to normalcy fall. What a pain in the ass.

if they are all eating and swimming normal i wouold hold off a bit,i used high doses of garlic in the food when i last had it,it slowly disipated, tangs under stress can develop ich and spread it,id give it a try with lots of garlic and some patience,i got ich from a fish i got from the one stop reef shop here in chatham,
as long as they arent in distress i would just watch for a bit

I agree with Rob, don't stress them out any more than absolutely needed. I have some of those pellets (ich shield) here (if you want some, come and get them) I haven't found any stores that carry them locally due to the price. they are expensive but, I believe they work, my guys get them 3-4 times a week on their night feeding also, I use fresh garlic, its a lot cheaper and more potent ..soak ALL there food in garlic..3 heads of garlic = .47 cents...good luck, they are healthy fish so you should be ok on the recovery..

If everyone eating and healthy otherwise like stated above some good food and water chemistry will have them good to go.

I was there a couple of weeks ago and the girl working said that they don't care them because of the price, when did you get them...
I would prefer to buy locally and save on the shipping, they are expensive..

Try calling or sending a pm to Aquariums By Design retail store. I'm sure they could order it in as they carry almost all the NLS products

thanks Eric, with the cost of the pellets and shipping, it was well over 55.00 for the small container.. Personnally, I like the product and will be needing to order more in the next few weeks...
