IT'S ALIVE-a tragic turn of events

So after 3 weeks of not seeing my platinum clown I found the little shit in my sump last night. 3 weeks I had not seen him. Tossed some food in and he ate. It was quite a pleasant surprise lol.
Anyone else have any survival stories?

Well i guess i spoke to soon. During the night one of my other clown fish went for a ride down the overflow and both of the fish ended up in the inlet to the skimmer pump. Its sad because the regular clown that got sucked in was one of the original fish i put in my tank.
A tough go for me i guess. To bad

I have been married for 7 years.

As for fish survival stories, I have a clarkii that I put in my frag tank sump and forgot about for weeks upon weeks. No feeding or anything. No idea how he survived. But this big bastard is a tank. He has been through 4 tank cycles and forgoten about but is still nice and thick and strong. He is living happily in my 120 and hosting to a RBTA now.

As for fish survival stories, I have a clarkii that I put in my frag tank sump and forgot about for weeks upon weeks. No feeding or anything. No idea how he survived. But this big bastard is a tank. He has been through 4 tank cycles and forgoten about but is still nice and thick and strong. He is living happily in my 120 and hosting to a RBTA now.

I bought 2 Leopard wrasses a while back. They both immediately hid in the sand bed. After a week, the one started appearing during lights out and eventually stayed out most of the day. The other one remained in the sand and I never saw it again. Then, 6 months later, it just showed up one day. It was quite thin but immediately started taking to food. Now, it is plump and happy as can be. Not sure how it survived that long!

I bought 2 Leopard wrasses a while back. They both immediately hid in the sand bed. After a week, the one started appearing during lights out and eventually stayed out most of the day. The other one remained in the sand and I never saw it again. Then, 6 months later, it just showed up one day. It was quite thin but immediately started taking to food. Now, it is plump and happy as can be. Not sure how it survived that long!

I have a tiny regal tang that managed to make it into the sump.  Was cleaning the tank one day before I had to go away for the weekend, and couldn't find it.  Was a little worried but not too concerned since it likes to hide.  Messaged my brother the next day and asked if he could take a peek for it around mid-morning when it usually comes out of hiding.  He couldn't see it either.

Later in the day he texted me saying that he found it in the sump, and thought it was dead cus it wasn't moving.  He reached in with the intent of flushing it but once he touched it, it started to flap a bit.  So he threw it back in the display, and it's been fine ever since!

i got an oriental sweetlips off a guy and when i got it it was about 6 in long in a 6 in ziplock baggie with 4 in of water... upside down... all his fins were shredded to the point where he had more bone than fin on his dorsal.. then he went into hyposalinity at my house..... 4 mos later and he is doing great with no signs of damage... tough bastard..

Disgusting that someone would actually pack up a fish in that little amount of water... Nice work bringing it back! Great looking fish!!

Survival story of a tang. I've yet to lose one but I try not to screw with stuff to much cuz I know they are delicate. Great stories all around tho
