Jebao Or Ecotech

As title says. I’ve had both but here’s my situation. Buy 3 new Jebao pumps is-25s for $300 or buy 3 used Ecotech mp40 older style for $800. Ecotech is the better pump but the older style I wasn’t huge on and for $800 I may end up having to replace some of the parts which costs a fair bit as I know they don’t run forever. Being a wavemaker I’m not huge on the controllability aspect. I consider them mostly fixed and set items anyways so leaning towards the Jebaos here but am also swayed by the Ecotech’s just based on their reputation and I have all other ecotech gear running the tank. Anyways, I guess I’m looking for someone to talk me out of the Ecotech’s or jebaos here.

I mean they are both good brands from what I hear I personally nevertheless owned a ecothech but I have jebaos and I love mine had it for 3-4 years no issues I probably take them apart 2-3 times a year for a cleaning and good to go personally I think it’s probbaly the best pumps for he price and with the controller and the different settings it’s not a bad deal, not use how hard or easy it is to get parts for them but they seem to be easy to work on ! Just my 2 cents .

They still running quiet? Noticeable flow reduction after 4? At the price I wouldn’t bother with repairing just replace

Yeah I mean they have a little nice noise but I’d say the same since I got it , plus my skimmers the only thing I hear lol .. and it might have died down by 1 bar so maybe 10 -15% love the pump !

Jebao makes a nice product, so does Ecotech. I currently have 2 MP40QD's and would not go back.

My suggestion...get the new Jebaos and start saving up for the Vortechs new so they have warranty and will be the QD. Once you can afford all 3, then do the buy and replace the Jebao. Just be weary as Jebaos are known to last only a year, they even say that on their website, so keep that in mind for your savings.

I had seen that on a review video from @shiftline Reefdudes. It looks cool and would be interested in an update if he has been running it. My only concern is that Coralbox is Jebao.

I would say for the price Jebao's are better, I personally love the Jebao pumps and run them on all my tanks. I have ecotech lights and love them. But pump wise, I can get 2-3 new Jebaos for the cost of 1 Ecotech. So for me it was a no brainer. Only had one issue, one circulation pump gave out after a couple months, took it back where I bought it and I got a replacement. But still love them.

I have Radions, vortecs and a vectra. I've always liked ecotechs innovation, but their customer service sucks in my opinion and their products are overpriced. I think the next time my mp's fail, I will be considering the Jebaos. I've always prefered to spend more upfront on a quality product, but it doesn't seem like anything lasts nowadays anyhow.

I just purchased, for water movement, the coral box QP 16.I went with the Jaebo DC 10000 pump for the sump.
Still setting up, but reviews and price was great on both.
