It is the long term performance I am most interested in.......hence why I have invested in tunze this far. Is it comparable in water movement to the 6105?

The water movement is really good.  Its realatively quite and works well.  The controller is pretty weak and the quality leaves something to be desired but your arent paying top dollar.  The long term reliability is the big question.

I rarely even use my speed control on my tunzes anyways..... They are really quiet though....so is my nano wavebox. Good to know that the jebao is as well..... I have read a couple threads where reefers have stated that their Vortech was louder than the jebao. Also heard they may be releasing a smaller nano version as well.....? Did yours come with a light sensor, Darryl?

Yes it comes with a small cheap light sensing thingy you plug in...people have been having problems with them though.  Ive never used that function personally.

No Vic.  I saw you needed to make an account to track it so I didnt bother.  I figured I would give it two weeks and than try to find it.  Mine took about a week.

A timer seems much easier than a light sensor anyways.... i read that the sensors are for low light use only and high light output will quickly ruin them.....wonder if they would actually function proper in low light.....have u used the controller much?

Just thought I'd pipe in here as well... I grabbed one of these for my new 90g build.  The pump moves a lot of water, that's for sure.  I've got it running on Other mode without taking the voltage down at all (have a variable power supply on the way) and it took quite some adjusting to find a spot that it wouldn't piss off the couple LPS pieces I have in here so far.  I think I've settled on placing it near the bottom of the right side panel, close to the back of the tank, so that it is blowing behind the rockwork.  My return and a Koralia are pointing the other direction to create a circular current, and the Jebo has the effect of modifying the current speed.  Ie when it pulses up, the whole tank current becomes more powerful, it goes down, the whole tank experiences a small lull in intensity.

One thing I'm not a fan of is the bracket, it's very easy to knock the pump out of position.  When the pump is sitting correctly in its cradle, you can feel the socket ratcheting as you adjust the angle of the pump.  But it's easy to knock it out of the ratcheting position, and then it kind of free-floats in the cradle and becomes very unstable.  It will stay in place but doesn't feel very secure.

good Morning all!!!
So i ordered one wp 40 one week ago and this morning it arrived at my door. As excited as a kid in a candy store i immediately opened her up. The box came in perfect condition and the contents were as well. Very easy to set up the pump but i do have to note this thing is huge!!! Def round as a softball and about  5" long in its cradle. I have a 55 gallon tank standard dimensions and it easily twice as powerful compared to the two 1400 korallias I had been using. In fact its nearly pushing the water out of my tank!! So far I am extremely pleased. i can barely hear it running and now there isnt a dead spot in my tank anywhere. I can even see it moving sand under my cave  on the far side of the tank. This pump is great for the money.
Im upgrading to a long 125 and am contemplating putting into a diy wavebox. I think the result would b fantastic. Later this week I will be at Sealife putting it up against a MP-40 for direct comparison and will post results and hopefully a video
Cheers!! ;) (Y)

I'm still very pleased with mine fwiw.  Tried hooking up a dimmer that can go inline with the power supply, and while it works fine and allows me to reduce the power of the pump... I ultimately decided to take it out and run the pump full blast on Other mode.  I'd recommend it for sure at the price it is.  Anyone in the London area is welcome to stop by and take a peek, play with the settings etc.
