Just an observation about my BRS group order.. Which I placed today for a reactor and GFO,  carbon rox

I was looking at test kits,  sand, salt mix etc..
But I happened upon a recommendation to check out Dr. Fosters web site.  I was taken by surprise,  free shipping over $50, will ship to Canada for those of you not in border city like me,  and most of their products significantly cheaper

I ordered reef crystals 200gal $56, red sea test kit,  foundation pro  $34, 40lbs seaflor special etc etc

Anyway just thought I'd throw it out there...  I'm always happy to save $ especially cause I'm just starting out again and buying tons of  stuff

Per usual in the fine print

"FREE shipping and low flat rate shipping applies to economy ground shipping to 48 connecting states only."

Flat rate fee ($19.99 US) plus 22% International Surcharge based on merchandise value apply. But there are other/additional surcharges depending on the items and some items can not be shipped to Canada.

I ship to USA,  as I have a mailbox there.  But when I checked into shipping to Canada,  there was a $20 shipping fee.  I didn't see much else.  Anyway,  I guess if you were making a significant enough order,  shipping to Canada would be worth it.  Also,  If you are in London,  certainly the  1.5hrs drive to Detroit to pickup an order would be worth it also.
If anyone needs to know how to ship to USA,  to their own mailbox,  please do not hesitate to ask

If you are  having items shipped across the border there is a 99% guarantee you will have to pay the taxes and brokerage fees as well as shipping no matter where you order from in the states....
Also, I would imagine Londoners would be driving to port Huron rather than Detroit...
Also, seems like some of the items you bought such as the salt mix can be purchased within canada for much cheaper even with the taxes.... Just one of my observations

If items are identical BRS will price match from US websites. My BRS order this month I had them price match something from Dr. Fosters.
They refund you the difference after the purchase.

I was never really suggesting shipping to Canada i guess...
I shipped my BRS order to my Detroit location.
Guess i'm happy to be close to the border!

...Interested where I can get salt mix locally for under $60???  Intrigued...
