Kalkwasser Or Calcium Reactor

i am officially getting sick of making up a bucket of Kalkwasser every couple of days. I am considering getting either a Kalkwasser reactor or hooking up my calcium reactor. If I hook up the calcium reactor, then I still need to dose Kalkwasser to keep ph up, unless my reading skills have vanished.

I also have a 3 channel dosing pump so I can do 2 part automated.

I don't have that much sps yet (maybe a dozen and a clam) and everything seems to be doing pretty well.

The clam has a huge white growth ring around the shell so it must be doing ok lol. Tomorrow I'll be taking readings and figuring out my daily usage of calcium and alkalinity.

I'll be adding a few more frags in the near future, and I want to be able to handle the load for a couple of years with whatever method I use.

I have an apex, and a PM1 box so hooking in a ph probe is no big deal.

This whole dragging buckets around is a real pain.

Yeah I'd go with a doser and do the big three. I've got my doser connected to 5 liter containers and I only have to fill them once every 2-3 weeks.

Don't go with kalkwasser though, that's for damn sure. If you are planning on an SPS reef, you will quickly reach a point where it can't keep up with what your corals are consuming. It only lasted about 6 months for me before I had to upgrade to either a doser or calcium reactor. I chose the doser because it's both cheaper and more simple to setup.
