So I've done the research on trying to kill my blue clove out brake the only thing to work for any body was fluke tabs witch are no longer available the main ingredient is fenbendesol so I searched and the only dog dewormer that has this now is safeguard and panacur after going to many places to be shot down because panacur has to be prescribed I convinced a vet to sell me some so here we go lets see if this works or wipes out my entire tank lol just poured it in about half a packet and instantly blue clove shoveld everything else seems ok but we will see I'll keep you guys updated

So 5 hours in tank is still extremely smoky mushrooms are pissed I'm sure they will die all sps and lps look ok hammers frog spawn still half extended chalices look to be fine all fish and shrimp are eating and seem to have no effect small star fish are still alive and look fine all baby snails are still crawling around clove polyps are sagnifacantly smaller and 1/4 of them look to be dying already just small balls of blue I removed all carbon stopped bio pellets stoped the skimmer and removed filter pad note I did remove all Chetto in sump beforehand and put it in my new tank so I have nothing to say on what it will do to that or the creatures that live in it

Good luck. I may try it if it works for you. BCP are beautiful if they didn't take over and choke everything else out. Hoping for a Christmas miracle for you!

I was unable to talk my vet into selling me any deworming medicine.
So, I ended up removing all rock piece by piece, torching the clove areas with propane torch.
Seems to have worked, with the added satisfaction of playing with a torch.
And the smell, oh my....

Hope your cure works!!

I'm hopping so! under my understanding the torch method might not work being the blue clove spread with eggs that's why they end up everywhere so you need to kill the eggs in the sand rock and water so I'm just hopping for the best how long ago did you torch them ?

I am still hoping that the long spine urchine I threw in there does some damage. If not, maybe your tablets. If not....have a spare tank to throw livestock in, then new rock and sand for the DT, then transfer back frags with hopefully no bcp. Here's to hoping

Torched a couple weeks ago now.

Ya see that's the issue as anybody knows that little patch you have left will blow up and spread all over again kill it if you can my tank cycled during a switch from the 60 to the 75 99 % where killed off and one year later my tank was once again covered that's y I'm trying out this pill all I can do is hope it wipes them all including the eggs fingers are crossed lol but the one thread I found that the guy did this he posted pics a year later and there was no clove so we will see ps any dewormer will not work tried a few others in my frag tank and the clove seemed to love it lol you must get panacur or safeguard only ones with fenbendesol or horse dewormer lol

I know you have some amazing zoas are you having the same issue where they are growing literally on the zoas and making them close up I was thinking about an urchine but I just can't see them eating them off my zoas so I went to desperate measures here lol but if I come out with no ill affects than hopefully this can help you also save your self the time the only vet that will listen In Windsor is central animal hospital but wait to try this I don't want anybody else killing there tanks on my stupid ideas lol
