So i built a led diy fixture for my small tank. Used a bridglux kit from aqua style.
Works great. Corals are growing, everyone is happy.
Now maybe its time to change the big tank over.
Looking at a 120 led diy kit. Has 5 mean well drivers.
Tank is 48x36x22 deep
Looking at 70 royale blue, 30 cool white, 5 actinic, 5 UV, 5 green, 5 cyan
Any thoughts, or suggestions welcome.
Whats working for you ?

I think the violet is very important.  Do 2 or 3 times more than that.  I had just rb and nw and some of my acros browned out.  I added the first six of eighteen a couple weeks ago and i already see them colouring up.

Anyone using the normal blue with the royal blue.
Think I will eliminate the cyan and go with more uv lights.
Just checked my 15 gallon tank. I am running 18 leds. 10 rb, 4 cw, 4 uv. Have good growth and nice color.

How about going with a few multi chips? They cost a little more but they simplify installation and take up far less space over the tank. I'm about to use 6 lumia 5.2s (which incorporate cree leds) on my 300 gallon 72"x36"x27"h tank. Check out my build thread for some pics. I haven't gotten around to using them but there are some great videos and reviews online that might give you some more information

I have 4 cyans in two fixtures I built and I enjoy the colour they give off. I had UV's on my systems but they kept burning up so replaced them with pinks and more RB's. The UV's are nice though, not very visible of course but they did make a slight difference in colour.
