Led Supplementation Help

Good afternoon reefers! I am currently running a 6 bulb tekk light system on my sps dominated 72 gallon bow. I am looking into adding a blue LED strip light for some added pop and increased colouration on my sps. Any body have any experience on the topic please chime in! I'm looking at the 48" blue reefbrite XHO led but the price is quite staggering.

I also have a 6 bulb tek and it has a strip of blue LED's ( added after ) on it and I find that it absolutely adds "pop" to the colours of not only my SPS and LPS but, all corals especially zoas and palys.
IMO it would probably be worth the time, effort and expense to incorporate a strip of the blues to your setup.

Also on that note, I would maybe first check around regarding prices?
I bet you could find a good set used or perhaps a more economical set that would do a great job much cheaper.

Exactly what i'm looking for is a blue LED strip as you are referring to. I'm just looking for something a little more hefty such as a reefbrite as opposed to a stick on LED strip or something a little cheaper. You get what you oay for with most equipment.

I can't argue with that LOL.
And I do agree. Just thought I'd make a suggestion.
In my case, there are some things that I insist on being new and top quality and on somethings I am ok with buying used or maybe not the "best". Completely depends on the item and its importance.

Ya absolutely agree on that. some of my pieces of equipment are ghetto lol. I don't like to cheap out when its important tho. Guess i'll have to do more reading and shopping. I know guys who have tanks that use reefbrites with T5 and it really is a wow effect. the combo is insane.

21ledusa.com Can't beat the Price or Customer Service. Spoke with the owner on the Phone, and he had me hooked up with a complete package (4 36"reefbars, a Power Supply to run all 4 bulbs, wiring, controller and remote)


I added 4 of his Blue ReefBar LED Strips to my 6ft 4Bulb T5HO
