I had one for around 8mnths before I sold my last setup. I had it eating mysis and brine. If you have a well established tank with lots of life than I think they aren't any harder than any other fish. Every night like clockwork I would watch him bury his self in the sand bed to sleep. By far one of my favorite fish I have ever owned. I have pics of it in my old build thread for my 140g.
BTW I got mine from Bill at IA.

I think teebone and copperkills both had a leapord wrasse at one point, I may be wrong on the species though. They are a bit harder to acclimate and even after that there is the issue if jumping. Sorry no personal exp with them. HTH

My leopard wrasse is still going strong and is now my second fav fish! Lol aside from my anthias.  However I lost two before successfully rearing my third!  Great fish to watch,  swims at all levels!  If you want a leopard that not many ppl have Id go for the red leopard wrasse.  I have heard they are jumpers but have never experienced it.  Ive had him for roughly 7 months. Ive only recently covered the tank for the anthias.

I had one for about 6 months, it was a favourite until he jumped  through a 1/2 inch gap onto my overflow.
If you can get one from an established tank, you will have better success. I read that 1 in 3 will make it in captivity.

I got sort of lucky with my first, but the last two I have tried didn't make it.

They are an awesome wrasse 8)

I got mine from an established tank. Great fish and all ways out in the open!!! I have had him for about 6 months now with no issues. I didn't even have a cover over my tank and never had him jump. When I first got him, he buried into the sand for a good month before I even seen him come out. I thought he was a goner, then, one day I noticed him popping out at night. Eventually, he started coming out for good. Mine eats both mysis and NLS pellets.
