Ok so as Riley's corals arrive at my place today, I'll figure out his lighting routine, or maybe he'll post it here.

But I know he has a 8 bulb t5 ati fixture. I will be running a dual 96w PC and a dual element MH

My question for the old timers is, how to acclimate his corals to those lights, how many hours to run ?

This will be in a 90gal tank.

I'm wondering if you should have just brought his light to your place...I know with MH you have to acclimate them slowly so depending how Riley ran his lights I would think that no more than a few hours per day and then increase it weekly...how high do you have them hanging..
or try out your new light on them, haha

I dont know if you have decided since we last talked, but id start at 4 hrs the first week and watch for any negative effects and bump it up an hour each week.

Will try that. Also going to try to run that light at cheaper time of day.

2x96watt PC
2x175 MH

Here's how it stands now folks

As this is a rescue mission for these corals any and all recommendations will be gladly accepted here guys. I will weed thru any pms or posts. Obviously as this is Riley's livestock his say would be anything major. For now I'm just trying to maintain the coral as healthy and happy as I can. Also any community support is appreciated with supplies or assistance. Lots of these corals are a complete new on taking for me with minimal sps experience I have.

I will try to keep updated with video and water parameters as much as I can. I should get a full base test done this weekend as thing with have stabilized a bit now.

Ive always tried to keep my alk at 8.4 cal at 420 and mag at 1350. SG ive always kept at 1.026. Lots of flow for the sps. If you see them starting to lose colour id probably start upping the MH time since the 2 PCs arent working.P04 and N03 shouldnt be an issue since theres no fish and your rock is cooked. The lps ive never spot fed, but if your up to it go for it, but i wouldnt neccessarily worry about it unless you see any of them declining. The only thing id be montoring is the Big 3 since i was dosing everyday to keep them stable, that and of course the SG for evap.
If theres anything you need or any questions shoot me a text.
