Hello all,

Anyone been to a gentleman's place to pick up corals calls it (Hot Cake Corals).

I need to touch base with him and will be heading all the way up there, so was just wondering if anyone has had any experience dealing with him ad his corals?

He posts on another site, his corals look amazing and his prices are very reasonable to me.(i'm cheap) ;)

thanks,

Okay, I'm back.

I think I did okay, hes 20 minutes the other side of Canadas Wonderland. Amazing display tank. There are like ten little islands of rock that are joined together with acrylic rods and then he has all his coral colonies drilled into the rock work so he can easily remove them or the islands any time he wants. It looks totally natural and would not believe that he has it set up this way. His frag tank is under the cabinet in one side. with 2 radion 30s for a light source. I personally think the drive and the frags are worth the drive. it was about 140 km one way ;) so not something I would do every week but i used to do 100 km one way every day to work for 4 months so...

Bad news I have no more room for anything

Want to thank Nonuser again for picking up my coral frags and running the 'GTA Gauntlet'

I was VERY happy with what I ended up getting as well!! Orange setosa, Blue acro, red digitata, purple valida, green slimer... omg. I went a little overboard... Tank looks great now though! Highly recommend this seller, wish he was closer

man i'm really glad that you're happy. I don't like picking up stuff for others because I had a horrendous experience years ago that really turned me off.

Setosa
Purple millepora
Blue acro
Purple dragon
Purple valida
Green pocillopora

I had to talk myself out of the 3 inch Blue tort for $50. It was really nice.

he had all of this stuff in his display and other stuff as well. all his colonies huge. the blue tort was about 8" and 6 " wide. the other stuff was just as big. he had a softball size Bonsai colony. Its pretty sweet when its that size
