Thought i would share a few photos of my visit today to the miracles aquarium factory in orangeville,Nathan the main guy on the floor is a master cutter using the C&C and the table to cut very precise pieces,i didn't realize how close these guys cut to tolerances, the one fellow that assembles does so alone on all tanks 220 gallon and under, silicone's,clamps, installs glass bracing on the frameless tanks, their one of many specialties is an externally mounted overflow,(i think I'm gonna go this way on the next build),all sizes and locations on any given tank including the coast to coast, there were many tanks in different sates of assembly,on average a 180 gallon takes 7-8 days with varying pressures adjusted at different times,i go and visit weekly and they sure go through the tanks, always got new projects on the go.

Very cool. That is a whole lot of think glass, I can only imagine the possibilities. That external overflow looks great. Part of me wants to stand in the middle of the room and just toss a rock up in the air and see what it hits though. LoL

Phi Delt and I have external overflows and they are definitely the way to go (Phi Delt's is running and mine is for sale..LOL). A wider overflow allows for better surface skimming (no more oil slicks on the water surface) and are easier to make quiet with the help of bean animal overflows. I almost bought my tank from Miracles but couldn't justify the price for a starfyre tank of the same dimensions vs. the cost of a tank built from cell cast acrylic with better optical clarity and strength (drilling is also much easier so I didn't have to pay extra for that).
