im setting up a 120 with 50 gall  sump. I will be moving all my livestock and rocks and sand from my two 60 gallon tanks too the 120 gallon tank.
What precations should i take. Will the tank cycle. I dont want too lose any coals or fish.
Any input is appreciated.

I would keep all fish in one of the 60 gallons and coral while you transfer all rock and water to the new tank. I would use 90ish gallons of water you have then replace the rest with new fresh saltwater.

It will be loaded with po4 and all the other bad stuff you dont want especially if you start moving it all around, recipe for disaster. Unless you rinse it out good, but personally I would just buy new sand.

You can just wash really good, but buying new would be better... I wish I had bought new instead of washed the old, I believe that's why I have this permanent diatom issue

I rinsed old old sand... No issues. My biggest advice is keep things wet.  If its submerged die off should be minimal.

Plan is too put all new sand in new tank, move the one 60 gallon into new tank right away. It is mostly sofites and fish.
I was going too waite and slowly add the sps and other rock and fish from tank two.
Or, can I do it all at once.

No I think your right on the money, do the softies and fish first and then after a couple .. Weeks?.... Slowly add the sps... Would suck to lose anything to a transfer.
