I was just doing some reading on whats the best way to clean an acrylic aquarium with out scratching it. I came across this interesting article during my search.

http://reefbuilders.com/2009/03/03/magic-eraser-clean/

Apparently Mr.Clean Magic Erasers are 100% reef safe and work awesome to clean the inside and outside of an acrylic aquarium. Who would have thought??

Here is some more links....

I use a magic eraser on my tank, it works wonders, even rubs of coraline algae with ease. Very good product, and actually dollar store ones work just as good and u get 2 for a buck.. I just cut them in half and use half an eraser everytime I clean the tank.

I have been using the dollarama brand magic eraser for a few years now at the store.  It just sucks cause they don't always have them.  It works great on glass aquariums as well.

I use the microfiber cloths from the dollar store too.  I find they fill up with salt after a while, I just pitch them and get more, I don't know if you can wash them or not.

I bought the 2 pack of double easy eraser from dollarrama, it has a blue sponge on one side and a white  micro type sponge on the other.

Has anyone used this for the inside of their glass tank to remove green non calcium film type algae? I'm considering using it because I smell and taste no chemical's or fragrance.

of course I will rinse it first.

around the gravel I will use the traditional blade scraper.
