Well, I found a store in Toronto to carries rimless starphire tanks premade by a company in China under the brand Fire Aq.
All their measurements are in metric. The tank I have my eye on is 180cm x 60cm x 60cm which is very close to a 180 gallon 72" x 24" x 24"
All panels are made of 15mm starphire and the silicone work and quality is incredible. All tanks also come with a floating bottom. They are primarily made for planted tanks, but can easily be used for reef applications. They don't come drilled, so this would have to be done to make them reef ready. The prices are really good too.
They would be really nice tanks for a peninsula, since all sides are starphire, even the bottom!
Here is a picture from the store website, but can't really get an appreciation of how nice these tanks are...

Nice. Did you ever talk to Daniel at aquatic kingdom? He also gets really nice tanks at a good price from overseas. The difference I like with his tanks are the sheets are cut at 45degrees and match like that in the corners. Do you know what Im saying?

Yes, I spoke with Daniel last week. He has provided me with a few quotes as well and agreed, his prices are unbeatable for the quality and options that are provided. Mitered corners and floating bottoms are standard and he just drills them when they arrive at his shop. His tanks are some of the best I have seen. Pretty sure he said they come direct from China.
I spoke with Shawn Wilson over at the Coral Reef Shop and he recommended both Aqua Inspiration and Aquatic Kingdom for reef tanks.
While I was at Aquatic Kingdom, Daniel had a brand new starphire tank with external overflow ready to go, but the dimensions were too large for my location.
Freeman is the man at Aqua Inspirations, they are the only distributor in Canada for the Fire Aq brand

Regular tanks use a capped method where all side panels sit on perimeter of of bottom glass
Floating bottom is when the bottom glass is recessed inside and even with all 4 vertical panels
Kinda of hard to explain, but looks cool and unique

Some really sweet looking tanks out there, and the best quality silicone and workmanship that I have seen recently are from both Chinese tanks available through Aquatic Kingdom and Aqua Inspiration.

LOL! , 300 is a little too large. Aquatic Kingdom actually has a sweet tank 60Lx36Dx28H, starphire with external overflow and 3/4" glass for a pretty good deal, but still can't make it work.
I'm now leaning toward a 3 sided starphire 72Lx26Dx26H, I think this size 210G might be just right 8)

Go bigger length wise, Just more visual and lots of room for fish to swim, And where are you putting this new big tank? I hope you aren't hiding it in the basement?

That tank has an external overflow that is about 6 inches deep plus the tank is 34 inches deep! Would look pretty sweet, but takes up alot of real estate. ;D

Your mid life crisis should be coming soon? no? I think you have been driving that minivan for too long time for a new hotrod car...or just tell the wife your out, and just tell the kids...there comes a time in every mans life where he needs to just buck up they will understand when they are older.
All kidding aside, I look forward to seeing a new build regardless of what it is. Would you have your old system still running while new one setup or just start fresh and have everything in a frag tank?

I was going to grab that sweet frag tank that was just posted, but some "trigger-happy member" beat me to the punch... I will probably just keep my current system going and move things over and sell off everything else.
