if all goes well in about another month they will all be eating mysis and i can stop bubbling brine for a while lol. Will keep updates coming and hopefully some better pics now they are all a bit bigger.

And of course tft members will get a limited time deal but if people are in a rush i know yveterinarian has some amazing stock avaiilable thats where all mine came from :)

i will be blunt about one thing tho after breeding these ponies i have come to the conclusion that i will never have a bare bottom tank in my life again except for breeding. they are the biggest PITA ever to keep clean. if you want it to look nice your pretty much scrubbing daily.

I agree they are a PITA to clean but I decided to put a cleaning magnet on the bottom of my seahorse DT because the bottom is open underneath. 2 seconds a day and the bottom is clean. Before that I was constantly using the long handled scrubber and I tended to miss days because it was too much trouble. Now it is a breeze. Thank goodness!

its a never ending job but, the tanks look so nice when they are all clean and shinny...
i have forgotten lol my reef tank has gone untouched for 8 months just ato refills, spray mangroves, feed mysis and pellets and additives... my snails, shrimp, urchin and crabs literally do all the cleaning for me :) even my seahorse display i only do a 25% wc every 3 months which is insane for seahorse keeping but i also have about 5 gal packed full of mexican calurpa

it is that time im worried that those horny seahorse are gonna tango again soon or at least they are flirting alot. on the plus side ive gotten almost half the babies trained on mysis now and have been feeding adult brine enriched with greenwater and hufa supplements to help get them used to the bigger things to eat. lately ive just put the last bit of every batch into a 5 gal bucket and its starting to get a nice culture going of some nice sized brine. Yet it doesnt help when i keep stealing them for feeding time..... they love the gutloaded buggers

yay hooked up a hydor slim skim i got today and so far i love it its already producing foam so after a bit ill adjust it. in the meantime almost all the seahorse babies are eating mysis when i feed them so hopefully in a week i can stop brine completely except the occasional snack. then again my adults wont even eat brine big or small only mysis shrimp. guess its like their idea of caviar

well i finally decided to count the babies since none had died in soo longand im left with 21 so i cant complain for my first shot the 3 from the first batch are double the size of the second and one monster is huge and already eating full mysis.... i think its the godzilla of the batch and is nearly the size of mine when i got them from yvette.

sadly tho after so long of no deaths i found this guy on the bottom after a couple days of struggling i noticed he ingested an air bubble :( but here is how big the smallest ones are...
