Native Marine Livestock?

So the family is planning a cross country drive to Vancouver this summer. I decided to look up what marine fauna I would encounter and am super excited to to some intertidal exploration now! My question Is, has anyone ever kept the any marine life from the waters of there? There are some great inverts found there and I would like to try to bring some back if it's viable.

Viable is the concern. Most of what you find will be cold water and is not sustainable in coral reef aquariums.

You will see some amazing things though. I spent a lot of time in Vancouver when I was younger. Always something to see when the tides go

Was in Campbell River this summer and spent time with kids on the beach.
Lots of star fish, crabs, urchins algae’s and fish.
Need to plan the trips to the beach to hit when tide was at its lowest if you want to see the most diversity.
Take a bucket a net and a good camera with a macro if possible.
Didn’t hurt that my uncle was a commercial fisherman with his own boat, then later a marine biologist.
