I use the blue brute for any long term storage as I find the black ones leach. I used to use the black ones but i had a constant algae issue and decided to swap out to the blue. Within the week with no other changes the algae started to go away. So now i only use the black ones for water changes for the old water.

Got a link you could send me ?:)

I use these ones for about 10 years or so.

I drilled a hole under the handle 3 inches down and installed a RO float valve. So when I am filling it with fresh RO water if I forget about it (I have) it doesn't flood my floor (It did). I make sure the lid handle is facing back towards the handle like a front to back configuration so the lid doesn't pop off when moving. If the handle is left to right it pops off and can spill water as the container flexes. Then I can just unhook from the RO and move into position or most likely I set it up beside the tank and fill for water changes.

Don't drill the hole to high as the water will splash if moved.

I uses these float valves.
