ive been looking at the new apex. It's looks pretty cool with some interesting features.

Is it worth the upgrade? And yes. I would be selling mine if I got it

I suspect it will be a buyers market for apex units for a little while
Somewhat. If I sell mine for $650 with a second EB8, it would still be over a $400 savings vs new Apex Classic. The Apex Classic vs Apex is the same as Apex Jr vs Apex Classic. It just depends on need and financial abilities. After all, the classic is still $750 and the Apex is $1080 while the Jr is $313.

Not all that convenient. The one thing I am battling is how everything is in the EB832. If something goes wrong, you loose everything during repairs.

Say what....

Isn't it in a cloud kinda thing like fusion
I mean if something breaks. There are so many things jammed into the EB832. DOS, WAV would run off the built in 1-Link. Plus the 8 power outlets and the DC outputs. If you have to send it for repairs, then you loose it all until it comes back

The reality is that the FMM will have ports for 1link and the flow sensors. This is one reason why I think this thing is delayed. They decided to put it in the bar. Same with people who might have bought the WAV package. Talk about a waste of cash now for them. But I see the argument. If something goes wrong and you are taking advantage of what that new bar has to offer, you could lose any low voltage hook ups, your WAV's if you have them, and I suppose the DOS, although you can hook that up with Aquabus anyways so life would go on there. At the moment, the lineup is fragmented. A little here and a little there. It's fine for the first time buyer, but anyone switching over, or wanting to mix and match, there will be redundancy, and some things that just won't make sense.

Not only is there a new Apex, but it looks like the Cerebra is (finally) on the horizon, as well as the Tunze Smart 7000. Exciting times!

I am CONVINCED this is why the new apex seemingly came out of no where. To head the Vertex off, and distract from it. Bring me my FMM Neptune!
