i bit the bullet and dropped some dollars on a lifereef LC2 calcium reactor. It showed up today. I was really impressed by the quality of the lifereef skimmer I bought, and I hoped that the calcium reactor would be similar in build quality and design.
I put it together in about 20 minutes, and let me say, that the design and quality are top notch. It came with quick releases for all the tubing, and will take 8 lbs of coarse grade media.
It's nice that it comes with everything you need to put it together too!
To go with it, I bought the electronic regulator from plantedtanks.com. That is just the easiest thing to get set up. Turn on CO2 tank. Turn on regulator. Turn dial to how many seconds you want the bubbles spaced.
So now the ph is dropping in the calcium reactor.
Now I'm looking to get down to business with a super stable tank and growing some beasty sps!
