8 Months in and I'm very happy with my tank, The Corals are doing great, My fish as well and I'm maxed out on my Bio-load, I've made some changes, The Vertex Omega 130 is out and the Vertex IN100 is in, Better access in the sump and less room and still a great skimmer, T-5s are being replaced with a LED build that's in progress, I added a LED Reef Brite strip to my fuge, Put my JNS Alpha 2 Bio-Pellet reactor on line, These things work fantastic. Also a 3/4 Sea Swirl for the return coming from a Jebao DC3000 pump, Here are a few current pics.

No I haven't noticed any changes, maybe the sand on one side of my tank is very clean but I attributed to more flow from the WP25. The Bio-pellet reactor works really good, the pellets tumble with ease.

Stupid question, I am sure, but what does the bio-pellet reactor do? I have been reading some stuff online, but not sure I completely understand.

They tumble around in a reactor  ;D
LOL They are a Carbon source, They will lower phosphate and Nitrate, they also provide food for Corals. Best to read up on them, The reason they tumble is because you don't want them to be a big mass of Plastic beads sitting in the reactor.

Bit of an update, I've been Dosing 2 part and my Calc, Alk have levelled out at 420 and 8 KH, The Coraline has started to grow and I like it on the rock and the back glass. I sold off some un wanted Corals or Frags should I say, Chalices mostly. I got what I paid for them so no loss although they had doubled in size.

I got rid of them because although they were colourful they didn't do much except take up valuable space on my sand. I like that wavy shit. LOL. I'm building a DIY LED light and that's progressing. The wife is out of work and home all the time so no me time but that's ok, Starting running Bio-Pellets with no difference as of yet. Got rid of the Vertex Omega 130 and using my Vertex in100 which has out performed it's counsin.

My Bio-load has maxed out with the addition of a small Yellow Tang. Everything is doing great and I'm very happy with the tank.

Nice build Jewel, I was thinking of using Bio-Pellets but think I will start with GFO and Carbon.....how long have you been using the pellets?

Just a couple of weeks, I bought the Reactor months ago and never used it and had some Detrius on my sand so I thought I would try it.

I'm still not sold on them, Really don't see a difference, I'll keep it going for another month and if there's nothing going on then I'll switch the reactor over to Carbon.

I bought a New light for the tank, Maxspect Razor 27 inch 16k, It's still in the breaking in period. It's running at 50 percent, the colours are amazing, so I took a few pics, Hope you like them.
