The problem with electronic testers is that you never really know if it is giving you a calibrated reading. The only way to be certain is to have 2 calibrated testers, and they both give you the same reading. I run into calibration issues in my work all the time. Digital isn't always better.

I was just researching this unit yesterday! It looks pretty cool to me but something that I can't afford/justify at the moment. I first need to get a nice LED light (leaning towards AI Prime) and a couple Jebao RW4s.

I think that to get experience using it and working out the bugs, you should go around to members tanks and test them, you don't want to get a false reading on your tank...

if there were only someone that travels around the area, everyone could pay a small amount to have one person that owns one of these to test our water. well only if anyone was interested in this kind of scam

Local store in napenee uses it for his tests. Works really well. Though was down for a few weeks when they first got it for some app update and ended up getting a replacement.
I got him to test my water after I tested it to see how close the reading we got compared.
Hanna checkers pretty close.
Pretty slick unit all run off your phone.
Nitrate test takes like 10+ minutes.

Oh if only I could afford one. !

I keep hoping that we'll get to a point where we just have a sensor in the water and it relays all the info we need. I guess we're getting there slowly. Not sure if it will happen in my lifetime though. LOL
