I've got a piece from Bigshow...it was pure beige for months, then suddenly decided it wanted to colour up.

Wildcaught are always tougher to keep than aquacultured. Had it started to encrust at all?

I got a wild SSC of my own that I have aquacultured from FAL for atleast 3 years now.....it grows like a weed nowadays.... I also have the original aquacultured SSC from UC and it is a bit slower growing for me....I have had it for about 1.5 years now.... I know what it is like to lose frags Riley.... Sux....especially when they look like they are starting to grow....

I've seen a lot of 'fresh cut' frags just suddenly RTN from the base, but usually if it was encrusting that means it was happy...
If that was the only fatality, and everything else is good, it might just be a fluke. Just watch levels and continue on.
