Up until recently I have concentrated on the fish and I'm just now getting into some simple corals, I love these guys too. I have 2 of them residing peacefully in the tank.

Those are interesting.  They almost have and eel-like look about them.  Do they dig in the sand like the watchman does?

yes, they seem to continually engineer their own environment. I added a conch shell to one end of the tank and one of them has decided it's home and hasn't been doing as much sifting of the sandbed.  They're very sweet and shy, and remind me of an eel without the predatory issues. I have two, they've grown like crazy and love raw pieces of shrimp as well as any food I put in the tank. I've been using more live food than prepared foods, trying to avoid to much pollution in the tank.

I like the fact that they are so peaceful, the tomato clown makes more of a mess in the tank with her tail swishing !

Thanks Vince
I did a big cleanup last night again, wow, the algae is coming on, too much light, I need to get the back painted. I guess that's the weekend project. Now that I've got the ro/di unit here at home it's so much easier to have my water on hand and premix my salt and have it ready to go. All these little tips and tricks are going a long way to making the tank care easier and in having that, it means the work gets done faster and more often !

that's a nice looking engineer. I had two of them in my tank till one decided to go carpet surfing..........now, there can only be one!
Thanks so much
These two are shy enough that they only come out a long ways when they're hungry, so far so good, no one's gone carpet surfing. I think the best ever was many years ago, in fresh water days sitting on the couch and watching the 3 foot silver arrowana decide he was going to fly and boy did he, right across the room. He was pretty battered up from the lack of landing gear, but made it back into the tank - til the next time he decided to fly and there was no backcatch at the plate.
