I got this Maxima clam about 3 weeks ago, looked great and started to attach to a frag disk I had so dumb me decided to place it on my rockwork (gluing down the frag disk) and it detached from the disk that night and fell face first into a mini maxi anemone, just had to be an anemone right? :( This was on oct. 5 so its been a little more then a week now and I can't tell if its doing good or not. Heres a crappy phone pic of it before (only one I got):

And now here's a pic of it as of today, looks like it's gaping and I can't tell if this looks like Pinched mantle from the stress or not. Note you can't see the blue trim all the way around anymore.

Wondering if I should FW dip it or not as I know that's generally the solution to PM but it's also a last resort and adds a lot of stress. Any help would be appreciated, don't want this amazing little guy to die on me.  :'(

It definitely looked sick in the second picture.  I've seen them melt fast after looking like that but I hope it turned around for you.  Interested in hearing how you made out.

Yep that's the one, I dipped it in RODI temperature matched water (floating bag) for 20 min on Sunday and I can definitely tell some of the edges look more smooth now but it's still gaping. I'm hoping that is just from the stress so I'm gonna have to wait and see how it looks in the days to come.
