As we grow it seems to becoming more of an issue.

The staff has discussed in the past and will revisit the issue.

Couple options, people restrain from crapping all over some ones sale... Or I set all for sale thread response posts to be approved before goin visual.

Reacting by deleting posts after they go up always results in drama.

Anyways ask yourself some questions before you post.

1. Will it negatively impact the sale?
2. Would I appreciate the same post if I was selling the product?

I agree that if someone knows of something bad about a product that is for sale everyone should know about it. comments should be tastefull but if someone has way too high of a price it could be mentioned but a pm would probably be better an informed buyer makes a happy buyer like the light that was just sold that situation wouldn't of happened if the buyer would have know how to fix the problem before he bought it.

agreed,if there is a real negative comment like "price to high" or "those things are junk" or....you get what i mean,
a pm or even restraint would be the way to deal with it.we have lots of new hobbyists comming here for start up products and information regarding everything from a-z and they should have the confidence when dealing here that they are getting the best and most informed advice that we as advanced hobbyists can supply

Negative criticism can be found in almost every product, new or used.

I think its just distasteful to interfere or take opportunity away from someones selling thread.

Sellers should control their own threads and be the only ones who post in these. Kijiji style is good, as there is an ad and direct contact to seller. By eliminating other posts besides seller comments could eliminate this problem. Just a suggestion.

+1, if you see something for sale you have the opportunity to get pics and check online for millions of reviews and problems, I think dodges are junk but I'll bet there's a lot of dodge owners who will disagree. Sometimes your opinion isn't worth 2 cents so don't crap on someones sale.

totally agree gm's recalls speak for themselves (junk) but I would never say anything....lol
I also agree.... if you don't like what they are selling don't by it and skip onto next thread.

would you rather know that a product is junk before you buy rather than after with most things people say they are good and bad I don't see a problem in having personal experiences before hand I guess maybe start a new thread on that product asking if it is any good would be better but everyone already knows that they would be talking about the add that was posted earlier anyways if it is all in one spot it would be easier if some one buying is going to listen to one persons comment and not buy they wouldn't of bought it anyways. we are all here to help each other out that includes helping them not buy something that isn't good but also when there is something good everyone is aloud to praise it with no problems

Every product has its lemons, people have bought lemon apexs but everyone here will say they are great, there is a risk buying used and new for that matter. I think it should be up to the buyer to search reviews and opinions for themselves, besides, who's reviewing the members that are jumping in on threads with their 2 cents.

I agree its all opinions..... I sell phytoplankton to a lady here that has a 75 gallon reef tank with a seaclone skimmer and a fluval 505 canister filter been running 5 years and looks great... she swears by it...others opinions may not line up with hers...
buying a product search the net

If it's something that's been repaired or something that is not functioning like it should I don't give two shits I'm going to ask and if I want a picture I want a picture of the current item I'm asking about not one off the internet

That's it exactly, ask questions, get pics, find reviews, etc., but don't jump in on someones sale and say "that's junk, I've got a different that's better" or offer your opinion if it's not asked. If you want to start a thread and ask OP experiences with certain things then that's fine, like was said earlier, what works for some don't work for others.

Just my 2 cents.

I think that unless you are buying the item for sale you should not interfere. It is up to a buyer to do research online and look at reviews of an item and price and decide for themselves. What gives people the right to comment on price and interfere with a sale. Unless the item is known to be broken and the seller knows it is broken and is still selling it I can understand that. If someone is selling junk people should know.

If it is not your sale and you are not buying consider this. Would you walk into a dealership when someone is about to buy a car and interrupt them and say psst the price is to high or I had one of those once and it sucked or would you like to buy mine instead? I think not. If people want to know price or quality they should start their own thread. An item for sale is a business transaction and should not be interfered with.
