Probably, can't tell though lol,
He's so active, at any point in time you can count to 10 and it's guaranteed  you will see him.

Must rename thread to Poesidons 92g pred and Rusty Mushroom tank.

Beautiful stock. The nice thing about these tanks is that we see fish that we normally wouldn't. Thanks for sharing.

A customer of mine realized the hard way butterflies arnt reef safe so he traded it in... This lil  'black back' butterfly, eats pellets like a boss!

Lesson learned, I'm only buying fish that are eating like it's their job.

it really saddens me when stores sell fish to people that are completely inappropriate for their tanks,
for example... i have a 29g bio cube, would this cute little pilot fish be a good addition???  :?

well thats what happened, so i got another trade it... about 4" long, eats anything you put in the tank and eats out of your hand...
(nibbles your hand too if theres no food lol)
dont have an actual pic yet, but heres his resemblance.

dont know how long i can keep him before he out grows the 92g, but we'll see :)

i could use some advise guys,
this morning the pilot fish is floating around, banging into things.
he is floating verticle, tail up, appears to be almost dead, but have no idea whats wrong
no bite marks, or ich, was eating fine as of last night...
tank params are good, all other fish are fine, including hermits...
only thing i can think of is that the tank is a bit warm due to the glass top, around 28c, 82f, but i doubt thats it...

any advice would be great, as he is a cool fish that wasnt cheap.

Sorry man.
I have had the same thing happen before. Unexplainable..the night before eating like a champ, then clumpsy, erratic behaviour, then they die.

Maybe do a water change in case something got in the water?

It died right before I was gonna pull him out and Qt, I did a 30g water change yesterday. I'm going to test my params later today to be sure but all other fish seem fine... Could be some sort of internal prob... Im
Thinking swim bladder issue cuz of the way he was floating not able to stay straight ... But who knows..
Sucks though

I really wanted one of those Pilots years ago but was told by a good authority that true open water schooling (as opposed to shoaling) fish like the various Jacks become very disoriented and stressed when kept in groups smaller than five.

Don't know if that's what happened to yours but...

On a better note...Nice Niger (one of my faves).  Mine has his adult colors with the bright red tusks. My daughter calls it the Vampire fish.

yea the guy who had it before me had it for several months in a significantly smaller tank...
it was a very strange death indeed.

and the trigger is sweet, eats shrimp from my hand as well... mainly when im trying to feed the eel lol

my small fish room cant handle to heat and humidity from all these tanks... so i have to down size...

considering selling this one, as a complete set or part out, depends on the interest... if anyone wants something in particular let me know,
or if your interested in buying the whole thing send me a pm...
