I'd like to add some new fish to my tank, but my powder blue is an asshole.
Does anyone have experience adding several new fish at once to cut back on the aggressiveness? Adding one at a time doesn't go so well.

I have had great luck in adding fish that should not be added. I have 1 hippo, 1 scopa, 1 yellow, 1 powder blue, 2 foxface, all of which were added one at a time. The hippo was the last. I use a black out to acclimate fish to their new mates. Basically I go lights out, then I wrap the tank in black garbage bags and add the new fish then. I peak in with a flash light sometimes, but for the most part I just hope. Corals are fine for a few days with no light. After day 2, I peal back just a corner, and over the coarse of the day I peal off the rest. I match that with heavy feedings and a steady supply of seaweed clipped. SO far that has worked for me, but it does not always work.

Putting a mirror against the front glass to give your powder blue another powder blue to fight with will often help out.

However powder blues, browns, white cheek and Achilles at a different level of nasty and may persist with low level harassment of even non tangs for a few weeks or more. Mixing two from that group unless they are together from the beginning will usually be a fight to the death. Then add a bunch of size and some serious weaponry to that Acanthurus attitude and you have a Sohal.....lol

The fish I want to add are small, so hopefully he can chill out. The last fish I added was a blue faced angel and those guys scrapped for a good few days before the powder realized the other guy was way bigger and gave up.
