If it was my fish, I would leave him be. As long as he is eating, he should be fine. Sometimes the stress of catching him again and putting him in an isolation tank could be enough to make matters worse. Just my opinion, and I dont have a good track record with fish :?

If it was my fish, I would leave him be. As long as he is eating, he should be fine. Sometimes the stress of catching him again and putting him in an isolation tank could be enough to make matters worse. Just my opinion, and I dont have a good track record with fish :?

If he is eating and healthy otherwise, just let it be.

It also has only been less then a week since the outbreak. Be patient with recovery.  8)

definitely agree here,these things don't usually go away quickly,his immune system will recover if he is eating and will slowly dissipate one would assume

For how long have you noted the ick? Are there any fights between him and the other tangs? This could induce a lot of stress on him. As I know, tangs need a lot of places to hide. Does he have his own spot or he is forced from one corner to another?

Treatment is not an easy way but is doable. If you don't do it for all fish, next day after you put it back in tank it will be infected and we are back to zero.
